MoodHunt Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 8, 2026

MoodHunt is a Chrome extension that helps users turn visual inspiration into a shoppable product list. This Privacy Policy explains what information MoodHunt handles, how it is used, and how MoodHunt may link to related Genesiai products such as Clara.

Summary

MoodHunt stores your project information locally in your browser. We do not sell your data. We do not transfer your inspiration images, saved products, product prices, product lists, or browsing history to Clara.

MoodHunt may show non-personalized links or invitations to related Genesiai products, including Clara. These links are not based on your browsing history, product list, prices, or uploaded images, and they do not send your MoodHunt project data to Clara.

Information MoodHunt Handles

MoodHunt may handle the following information when you choose to use the extension:

MoodHunt does not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses, passwords, payment details, authentication information, health information, precise location, or personal communications through the extension.

If we later add an optional email signup, newsletter, account feature, analytics, cloud sync, affiliate tracking, or Clara import/export feature, we will update this Privacy Policy and the Chrome Web Store disclosures before that feature collects or transfers additional information.

How Information Is Stored

MoodHunt stores project data locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local.

This local storage is used so your product list, budget, inspiration image, selected alternatives, and export state remain available while you use the extension.

When you choose Search this image with MoodHunt from Chrome's right-click menu, MoodHunt temporarily accesses the active tab to capture the visible image you selected. Some websites, including Clara, may use temporary blob: image URLs, so MoodHunt captures the visible pixels rather than retaining access to the temporary source. The cropped image is stored locally as your current inspiration and supplied to Google Lens to perform the search you requested.

MoodHunt does not provide cloud storage, account storage, or synchronization of your project data.

How Information Is Used

MoodHunt uses the information above to:

MoodHunt does not use your inspiration images, saved products, product prices, product URLs, or browsing history for personalized advertising, retargeting, credit decisions, or sale to data brokers.

MoodHunt does not use your project data to personalize Clara promotions. The Clara invitation is a general product link shown as part of the MoodHunt experience.

Information Sharing

MoodHunt does not sell, rent, or trade user data.

MoodHunt does not transfer your inspiration images, saved products, product prices, product lists, or browsing history to Clara.

When you click the optional Clara link, MoodHunt opens Clara using a referral URL with UTM parameters. The URL identifies that the visit came from the MoodHunt extension, but it does not include your inspiration image, product list, prices, product URLs, budget, currency, or other project data. Clara may process your visit under Clara's own privacy policy after you choose to visit Clara.

When you click product links or use Shop This List, retailer pages open in browser tabs. Those retailer websites are controlled by their own privacy policies and terms.

When you ask MoodHunt to search an image in Google Lens, the selected image is provided to Google Lens for the visual search you requested. Google services are controlled by Google's own privacy policies and terms.

Google Lens And Website Access

MoodHunt works with Google Lens and Google Search/Lens pages so users can save product matches they choose. The extension reads visible product information from supported Google Lens result cards only to provide the user-facing product-list feature.

MoodHunt does not read or change every website you visit. Its host access is limited to Google Lens and Google Search pages needed for the visible extension workflow.

Downloads

When you export a CSV or PDF, the file is created from your local product list and downloaded through the browser.

Chrome Web Store User Data Policy

MoodHunt uses user data only to provide or improve its single purpose: helping users turn visual inspiration into a shoppable product list.

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Data Retention And Deletion

MoodHunt project data remains in local browser storage until you clear the project, remove the extension, or clear relevant browser/extension storage.

You can delete your current MoodHunt project from the extension side panel using the clear project control.

Children

MoodHunt is not intended for children under 13.

Changes To This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above.
